Good Evening Sandy Plains Families,

This is Mr. Harrington with the Sunday Weekly Message.

School News

  • PARCC testing continues this week at Sandy Plains.  PARCC is a state-wide test that assesses students on their mastery of grade level standards.  This week, our 5th  grade students will begin taking PARCC. Please make sure your student gets enough rest throughout the week and arrives to school on-time so hoe or she does not miss any testing.  Good luck to all of our students on PARCC, we know you will do a great job!!
  • Kindergarten conference day is tomorrow and thus our Kindergarten students will not have school tomorrow. 
  • Pre-K conference days are tomorrow and Tuesday.  Pre-K students will not have school tomorrow and Tuesday.  They will be back in school on Wednesday. 
  • This week is Teacher Appreciation Week!!  We are so fortunate at Sandy Plains to have amazing teachers.  Our teachers continually go above and beyond to support our students both in and out of the class.  Please join me in thanking our teachers for all they do for our students. 
  • Sandy Plains Yearbooks are on sale now for $11.  If you’re interested in purchasing a year book please call our main office.
  • We will be on the day D Special Area schedule tomorrow.

PTA News

  • Our next PTA meeting is tomorrow at 4pm.  Please join us on tomorrow for our next PTA meeting.
  • This Thursday at 4:30, our PTA is hosting Paint Night.  Please join us on Thursday at 4:30pm for Paint Night. 
  • This Friday is our annual Flower Sale.  Classes will be visiting the flower sale throughout the day at their designated time.  A flyer was sent home this past week about the PTA Flower Sale.
  • Mark your calendars, our second annual Color Run will take place on Friday, June 1 at 4pm.  This is a fun event for all participants and helps to raise for our Sandy Plains PTA.   All registrations must be in by May 14.
