Good Evening Sandy Plains Families,

This is Mr. Harrington with the Sunday Weekly Message.

School News

  • I would like to thank all of our families, grandparents, and special guests that visited Sandy Plains this past week.  Thanks for your support and for helping to make American Education Week so special for our students!
  • Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.  I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
  • Tomorrow, I will be hosting Coffee with the Principal at 9:00am.  I will be sharing school updates and providing opportunities for stakeholders to ask questions.

PTA News

  • The next PTA meeting is on Monday, December 10 at 4pm.  We hope to see many families in attendance for our next PTA meeting on Monday, December 10.
  • Our annual Skateland Night will be on Monday, November 26th at 4:30pm.  Admission for all Sandy Plains students is free.  The only cost is $3.00 for a skate rental.  This is always a fun event for all.  Once again, Sandy Plains PTA Night at Skateland is on Monday, November 26 at 4:30pm.
  • The Sandy Plains PTA will be hosting Paint Night on Friday, December 14th at 5pm at Sandy Plains.  Flyers have been sent home with more information.  If you have any questions please contact our main office.

Special Announcement

  • You have probably heard that Baltimore County Public Schools is enhancing its response to an active assailant event.  Although this type of event is very unlikely, we want to be prepared as we prepare for all emergencies.  Tomorrow, students will practice evacuation procedures.  They will learn how to leave the building and where to meet if evacuating is the best option.  They will be offered an opportunity to talk with their teacher or a trusted adult if anything about the discussion or practice concerns them.
  • As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our main office.

Thanks for your continued support and have a wonderful evening!
