Good Evening Sandy Plains Families,
This is Mr. Harrington with the Sunday Weekly Message.
School News
  • This month, our school is focusing on the virtue of responsibility.  Students will be learning about responsibility throughout the whole month of January.  We are encouraging all families to have discussions at home about the virtue of responsibility. Thanks for supporting our monthly virtue of responsibility!
  • Tomorrow, all schools are closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.
  • This Friday is a half-day for all students.  Sandy Plains will begin dismissal at 12:15pm.  Please contact your student’s teacher if dismissal plans will be changing for your child.
  • Friday is also the last day for the 2nd marking period.  Report cards will be distributed on Thursday, February 1st.
  • Coffee with the Social Worker has been rescheduled for Monday, January 22nd at 8:45am. 
  • Our Family Reading Book Club will resume on Thursday, January 18th at 3:30pm.  Please mark your calendars to join Ms. Wengler and Senora Luz for fun reading activities.
  • We will be on the day F Special Area schedule when we return to school on Tuesday.
PTA News
  • We kicked off our World’s Finest Chocolates Fundraiser last Friday.  If you would like to participate please contact our PTA.
  • Tomorrow night, Texas Roadhouse will be sponsoring Sandy Plains PTA Night.  This is a great event for our Sandy Plains families and a chance to raise money for our PTA.  We hope to see many families at Texas Roadhouse tomorrow evening!
