Good Evening Sandy Plains Families,
This is Mr. Harrington with the Sunday Weekly Message. 
School News
  • Schools will be closed on Wednesday in observance of Yom Kippur.
  • Our Sandy Plains fall book fair will be during the week of October 8.  We are currently looking for volunteers.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our main office.
  • This year, Baltimore County Public Schools is implementing a new safety procedure for students from the ALICE Training Institute.  In order to keep all stakeholders informed, I will be hosting an ALICE informational parent session tomorrow evening at 6pm.  We will meet in the cafeteria.
  • Mark your calendars!  General John Stricker Middle School will be hosting Code Night on September 24 from 6:30-7:30pm.  This night will feature opportunities for families to learn about the technology of coding. Please contact General John Stricker Middle School at 443-809-7038 to RSVP.
  • As we continue to promote more independence for our students we are encouraging families to say goodbye to their student in the lobby rather than the classroom.  We appreciate your support with helping to promote independence for our students.  Thanks!

  • Please consider joining the PTA and help continue to make Sandy Plains a special place for all students! Membership forms are available in our main office.
  • Our Claire’s fundraiser is still going on.  If you would like more information about this fundraiser please contact our main office.
  • Our first PTA meeting for this school year will be tomorrow at 4pm.  Please join us on tomorrow for the first PTA meeting of the school year!
